As of June 2025, Progress Over Perfection Tutoring is officially celebrating one full year in business, and what a beautiful and humbling milestone it is. As I reflect on the students, families, and educators I’ve had the joy of working with, my heart is full of gratitude. What began as a vision rooted in compassion and excellence has grown into a deeply personal mission to connect students with the right support and remind families that they are not alone.
One of the most fulfilling parts of this work is matching each student with an educator who is just right for them. I consider skillset, learning style, personality, and location. I truly believe that relationships drive progress. When students feel seen, heard, and respected, their confidence grows and so does their capacity to learn.
At POP Tutoring, we work with students from all walks of life. Many of the students we serve are:
- Diagnosed with dyslexia
- Living with ADHD or ADD
- On the autism spectrum
- Identified as gifted and talented
- Navigating learning disabilities or receiving services through IEPs and 504 plans
- Struggling in traditional classroom environments
Each student has unique strengths and challenges. Whether it’s building reading fluency, improving science skills, or strengthening math foundations, we meet them exactly where they are. Our approach is grounded in personalized support, brain-based strategies, and a belief in steady, confident growth.
As of today, POP Tutoring includes over 50 educators who are experts in their field from the Pre-K level to the college level. We have incredible instructors who can prepare students for the ACT, SAT, and TSI. We even just added a wonderful educator who teaches adults Spanish. No matter the age or goal, we are proud to offer quality instruction tailored to individual needs.
I also consider it a privilege to stand beside families during ARD meetings, serving as an ally to parents who want to ensure their child receives the support they need and deserve. I understand how these systems work and more importantly, how students feel within them. Every child deserves a voice at the table and a plan that reflects their needs. I am honored to help make that happen.
To every family who has trusted us this year, thank you. And to those who are just finding us, we’re here and ready to support your child’s journey with warmth, expertise, and heart.
Here’s to another year of progress over perfection.
